Looking at the current content of NetBox v3.5.0 release notes, I weren't able to locate the details explaining the changes with reference to custom scripts functionality.

  • Adding custom scripts for NetBox versions prior v3.4 only requires uploading the custom script to the specified SCRIPT_ROOTS directory.
  • Adding custom scripts for NetBox versions from v3.5 will need to be imported from a local or git data source instead.

It would be good to have this included in the release notes for referencing the functionality changes.
