NetBox version

v3.5.2

Feature type

Change to existing functionality

Proposed functionality

Add the ability to set some units of measurement as default.
For example kilograms for weight or meter for length.

Use case

Usually if in my region I use metric unit there is a high probability that I will never use imperial units such as pounds and feet (or vice versa).
It would therefore be useful to be able to set my default units of measurement so that the drop-down menu is already configured with the right option (that I could change in case of needs) and I do not have to select the correct option every time from the drop-down menu, which is very time-consuming when working on a large number of objects.

NetBox could potentially leverage local storage for this to remember last selected value on certain fields.
