NetBox version

v2.8.7

Feature type

Data model extension

Proposed functionality

Hello
I would like to have a way to differentiate traditional 4 post cabinets and immersion cooling racks.
Please see some reference/pictures of these racks on provider's websites such as Submer, GRCooling, Asperitas.

Any rail to rail configuration can be applied to these racks. It's just the frame which is different and the rails are immersed into the liquid. So it's just about updating the rack type list with a new item : "immersion cooling rack"

Use case

Immersion cooling is a new technology currently being tested and deployed by the early adopters but it aims to be accessible to the public at large. Most of the server manufacturers are launching immersion ready servers. Intel is also betting on this with the deployment of a LAB in their facility.
