When connecting two ports with a cable, there is no possibility to change the target port without the deleting the cable and therefore loose all information (color, length type).

I propose creating a button (similar to the remove cable button) which opens the same UI as in the cable creation dialog just with the cable informations filled out. When confirming the dialog, the old cable would be deleted and a new one with the new target device created.

I realize this is just a shortcut to deleting the old cable and creating the new one but it would save some (in my opinion) unnecessary clicks)

Use case

In the real world, it isn't uncommon that devices get swapped out through new ones and existing cables are reused. When changing a device with a greater amount of ports, it would be beneficial if the UI workflow would be more fluid.

We're not currently accepting any new feature requests for cabling as it is being entirely overhauled for v3.3 (see #9102). You're welcome to try out the v3.3 beta when it is released this week or next, and provide your feedback. (Please note that no major changes will be made after the final release, so be sure to try out the beta.)

Delete Branch "%!s()"

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
