NetBox version

v3.2.2 (Note: The behaviour is also the same in 3.2.4.)

Feature type

New functionality

Proposed functionality

Navigate to:
IPAM --> Prefixes, select a prefix and display the IP addresses there. (https://netbox-100/ipam/prefixes/1/ip-addresses/)

All active and available addresses are displayed, the available fields are nicely placed between the IP addresses.

grafik

Sort any column e.g. Status.

grafik

Current status:
Now the IP addresses are no longer sorted in the correct order.

Not possible:
Try to restore the original state.

10.10.10.1/23
2 IP available
10.10.10.3/23
1 IP available
10.10.10.4/23

This is not possible except via Configure Table (Reset).

grafik

Problem:
If you perform the reset, you also lose the selected column configuration.

Feauture:
A button to cancel the sorting or give up sorting when you click on the header for the third time.

  • Sort ascending
  • Sorting descending
  • No sorting

Use case

With the Reset Sort button it is possible to restore the original sort without losing the additional columns.

Took longer than it should have to address this, but I think I have a decent solution.
