The database is just PostgreSQL; there are well-established best practices for backing up and restoring this type of database. Making it accessible via the web interface would be not only cumbersome but pose a serious security concern.

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
