Environment

  • Python version: 3.7.3
  • NetBox version: 2.9.1

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a VM with an interface
  2. Click the ‘+’ button on the interface to add an IP address

Expected Behavior

On non-VM device interfaces, the choices are ‘New IP’ or ‘Assign IP’.

Observed Behavior

The choices are ‘New IP’ or ‘Bulk Create’.

Notes

This seems related to the VMInterface change, the query parameter is specifying the vminterface= but the form doesn’t seem to understand it.

@abrahamvegh commented on GitHub (Aug 27, 2020):

This does not seem to be fixed.

On NetBox v2.9.2, clicking ‘Assign IP’ now causes a redirect to netbox/ipam/ip-addresses/add/.

However, with #5035 fixed, it is now possible to work around this by editing the IP directly and assigning it to the relevant interface that way.
