Environment

  • Python version: 3.6.9
  • NetBox version: 2.8.6

Proposed Functionality

Create individual views for each type of device component, so that a user can navigate to view e.g. a single console port irrespective of its parent device. Currently, this ability exists only for interfaces.

Use Case

This allows for the display of greater detail about a component, and it enables specifying an absolute URL by which a component can be referenced.

This effort has been identified as a dependency of #4416.
