List of rack groups don't filter per site on creation #3778

Environment

  • Python version: 3.6.9
  • NetBox version: 2.8.5

When creating rack groups in rack groups the list of parent rack groups is not filtered per site. This makes it hard to choose the right one if rack groups have the same name in every site.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create rack group Room 12 in multiple sites site 1, site 2
  2. Create rack group Server racks in site 1
  3. Try to choose the right parent rack group

Expected Behavior

Only a list of possible rack groups in the site chosen.

Observed Behavior

All rack groups from all sites are shown.

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
