Environment

  • Python version: 3.5.2
  • NetBox version: v2.6.6

Proposed Functionality

Create a new network topology map , showing interface connection and circuit connection between devices with type router. This is just an use case , but it can be extended to show interface connection between any type of devices.

Use Case

Once an interface connection is done between two routers the user can see a topology diagram with this connection ,showing device.name , the link between the devices and the information about the link ( interface name).
Allow a new dropdown under Org tab to see the diagram.

Database Changes

None

External Dependencies

D3js v4 : https://d3js.org
Custom d3js script to generate the correct data format.

Topology maps are being removed from NetBox in v2.7. Please see #2745.
