Environment

  • Python version: 3.6

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure Redis to require a password: redis-server --appendonly yes --requirepass FOOBAR
  2. Configure Redis in configuration.py like so:
    REDIS = {
        'HOST': 'localhost',
        'PORT': 6379,
        'PASSWORD': 'FOOBAR',
        'DATABASE': 0,
        'CACHE_DATABASE': 1,
        'DEFAULT_TIMEOUT': 300,
        'SSL': False,
    }

  3. Start Netbox

Begin with the creation of any necessary database objects and call out every operation being performed explicitly. If reporting a bug in the REST API, be sure to reconstruct the raw HTTP request(s) being made: Don't rely on a wrapper like pynetbox. --> ### Steps to Reproduce 1. Configure Redis to require a password: `redis-server --appendonly yes --requirepass FOOBAR` 2. Configure Redis in `configuration.py` like so: ```python REDIS = { 'HOST': 'localhost', 'PORT': 6379, 'PASSWORD': 'FOOBAR', 'DATABASE': 0, 'CACHE_DATABASE': 1, 'DEFAULT_TIMEOUT': 300, 'SSL': False, } ``` 3. Start Netbox <!-- What did you expect to happen? --> ### Expected Behavior The Netbox home screen is shown. <!-- What happened instead? --> ### Observed Behavior ``` <class 'redis.exceptions.ResponseError'> NOAUTH Authentication required. ```
