Environment

  • Python version: 3.6
  • NetBox version: 2.4.6

Proposed Functionality

Allow Inventory Items list view to filter based on device name. Currently https://${netbox-server}/dcim/inventory-items/ only filter based on Manufracturer and text lookup into {Name | Part ID | Serial Number | Asset Tag | Description }

However when someone needs to find the inventory items for particular device, it doesn't search with search box.

And Netbox does allow filter based on device via web query in browser something like this -

https://${netbox-server}/dcim/inventory-items/?device=device1.example.com

But where is no way to search using filters provided on web page itself.

Use Case

  • Help end user who just want to use web UI to filter inventory items based their servers pattern
  • A bulk delete is possible for inventory-items for particular device as device-inventory tab doesn't allow bulk delete.
  • More granuler search

Delete Branch "%!s()"

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
