Environment

  • Python version: 3.6.4
  • NetBox version: tag 2.3.2

Description

The max_length of Tenant model is to small (max_length=30) https://github.com/digitalocean/netbox/blob/develop/netbox/tenancy/models.py#L44 this also affect the slug field on the same model.

Suggestion is to update this to something larger like max_length=255 for both fields so i can add a Tenant that has more then 30 letters in it's name.

@jeremystretch Would the decision in the mentioned Issue also apply to the value lenght of CustomField:s? The situation for me right now is that i have several "free text" fields that is much longer then 255 characters and i can't merge them all into the comments field.

In the end if this won't be changed in the official release i will simply overwrite it in my fork and live with it in there.
