Device Roles: Role view doesn't include VMs #1333

Environment

  • Python version: 2.7.5
  • NetBox version: 2.2.2

Description

When viewing the Device Roles page (dcim/device-roles/) and looking at the count for number of devices assigned to that role, it does not include virtual machines. Clicking into one of the roles from this page also doesn't show any VMs.

Since we are mixing the device roles and marking them as VM roles it would be nice to see the numbers from this page.

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
