Feature type

Proposed functionality

Observation

My colleague just wanted to change the device_type via Device Bulk Import on the device.
Unfortunately, the error message was displayed:

Record 1 device_type: Object not found: EX9214

I also had to think a bit about the reason for this. (Do you have to specify device type name, slug, ID?)
It turned out that you have to specify “manufacture” when updating.
But this is only possible with background knowledge.

Improvement:

In the Field Options table: Adjust the note in the comment of “device_type”:

Old: Device type model
New: Device type model (Field manufacture required, Also with the update)

Use case

Clarity on how to import. Fewer support requests.

Database changes

No response

External dependencies

No response
