https://netboxlabs.com/docs/netbox/en/stable/plugins/removal/
contains great instructions on completely removing plugins, but is missing a section related to removing references to uninstalled plugin's object types when editing NetBox permissions.

See this discussion to understand the issue: https://github.com/netbox-community/netbox/discussions/17261

It would be helpful to add a section to the documentation that discusses how to remove entries from the django.contenttypes.models section such that plugins object types do not linger in the permissions section of NetBox.

I'd like to give it a try. Can you assign this issue to me?
