Suggestion

I would like the ability to have empty zones.

I recently bought an ultrawide and found that I when one application is open, I only want it to take up part of the screen. For example:

[empty] | app1 | [empty]

On opening a seconds app, use the secondary zone:

app2 | app1 | [empty]

Beyond that, the behavior would be the same of UltrawideVerticalStack.

Three app behavior:

app2 | app1 | app3

Four app behavior:

app2 | app1 | app3
              app4

I haven't throught through how moving an app would work with empty zones. Note that monocle mode would still take up the entire monitor.

Alternatives Considered

Currently I open two unused windows and open one main window. When I want to open another window, I close one of the unused ones. Another option is to find a way to have three virtual monitors in one.

Another option would be to have multiple workspaces per monitor. One on the left, one in the center, and one on the right of the monitor.

Another options would be to have three virtual monitors for my one physical monitor.

There is already an option to set custom offsets to any combination of monitor edges when there are less than N windows open: https://komorebi.lgug2z.com/schema#monitors_items_window_based_work_area_offset
