Summary

When I launch excel it will load the excel window but then the window manager also tiles in a second invisible window.

In the attached screen shot there are only TWO applications running, excel and a terminal. The red arrow points two a third occupied space as though it's an invisible window.

Closing excel removes the invisible window.

I can launch another excel workbook and it will NOT load another invisible window.

Pure speculation but I wonder if this has something to do with excel loading PERSONAL.XLSB "in the background".
