Summary

I'm using KeepassXC 2.7.9 for password management, and it somehow goes completly undetected from komorebi at all.

I ran .\komorebic.exe log, and while I can see every focus change to any windows except KeepassXC, klicking KeepassXC doesn't trigger any messages. Bringing KeepassXC into focus and using komorebic manage results in the following output:

2024-12-09T11:25:52.093504Z  INFO process_event{event="FocusChange" winevent="SystemForeground" hwnd=330898}:update_focused_workspace{follow_focus=true trigger_focus=false}: komorebi::window_manager: updating
2024-12-09T11:25:52.094570Z  INFO process_event{event="FocusChange" winevent="SystemForeground" hwnd=330898}:focus_window{idx=0}: komorebi::container: focusing window
2024-12-09T11:25:52.095065Z  INFO process_event{event="FocusChange" winevent="SystemForeground" hwnd=330898}:focus_container{idx=0}: komorebi::workspace: focusing container
2024-12-09T11:25:52.101053Z  INFO process_event{event="FocusChange" winevent="SystemForeground" hwnd=330898}: komorebi::process_event: processed: (hwnd: 330898, title: Windows PowerShell, exe: WindowsTerminal.exe, class: CASCADIA_HOSTING_WINDOW_CLASS)

and the window vanishes until I click it again via task bar. The window otherwise just floats around, completly unaffected by komorebi at all.

Windows Task Manager seems to have a similar issue. but for that one I didn't run all the debug checks.

Keypass has been investigated before and the conclusion was that the maintainers of that app need to make changes to bring their app in line with how apps on Windows are expected to behave (more detail here: https://discord.com/channels/898554690126630914/898554690608967786/1271322563133575201)

RE: task manager, elevated windows cannot be managed by an unelevated process, and though some people do run komorebi as an elevated process, I advise against it and consider any ensuing weirdness UB.
