[BUG]: Virtual box aborts when one tries to add a new block device to a VM #522

Summary

This is something I've done regularly without issue while not using komorebi.
Appears to be related to Virtual Box window mgmt in it's UI.

  1. Open VBox.
  2. Open the settings for a VM. This opens a new komorebi tile for the settings
  3. Scroll to storage, choose the SATA controller, then "Add a block device". This pops up another komorebi tile, where one can create a new "disk", and "choose" it for the VM being edited.
  4. On hitting "choose", which is the "yes, please, attach this block device to the VM" there's a 2-4 second delay, a couple of error messages in the lomorebi logs, then all VBox tiles are closed and VBox terminates

I was going to grab a screenshot of the VBox UI right before I hit the fatal "choose" and this time it didn't crash.
The only differences were:

  • VBox was on my non-primary monitor
  • the windows were in a grid rather than an UltrawideVerticalStack

Regardless, here's the window setup that did not fail:

Imo this should be an issue on the VirtualBox tracker; the errors logs in komorebi are unrelated.
