Current Behavior

I installed the .deb package of headscale with version 0.23.0. Every time I use the headscale cli I get the following message:

WRN An updated version of Headscale has been found (0.24.0-beta.2 vs. your current v0.23.0). Check it out https://github.com/juanfont/headscale/releases

Expected Behavior

I don't expect the software to suggest to upgrade to a beta version. According to github, the current stable release is 0.23.0.

Steps To Reproduce

Any command will do, e.g. headscale nodes list.

Environment

- OS: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) / ARM64
- Headscale version: 0.23.0

Runtime environment

  • Headscale is behind a (reverse) proxy
  • Headscale runs in a container

Anything else?
