This fixes my issue #2171

The resulting test containers with working stable-debug tag can be checked here

My test workflow run was this one

  • have read the CONTRIBUTING.md file
  • raised a GitHub issue or discussed it on the projects chat beforehand (#2171)
  • added unit tests
  • added integration tests
  • updated documentation if needed
  • updated CHANGELOG.md
