Expected Behavior

In version 0.26.1 of Headscale, accessing the/app/v1/node/register API resulted in the error "registration ID must be 24 characters long", which can be registered directly using the container command

Steps To Reproduce

In version 0.26.1 of Headscale, accessing the/app/v1/node/register API resulted in the error "registration ID must be 24 characters long", which can be registered directly using the container command

Environment

- OS: Ubuntu 24.04 
- Headscale version:0.26.1
- Tailscale version:1.84.2

Runtime environment

  • Headscale is behind a (reverse) proxy
  • Headscale runs in a container
