Current Behavior

Can you confirm if tvOS is supported with Headscale?

It looks like it should be but after hours of trying my Apple TV will not connect.

I’ve tried reinstalling the tvOS app, upgrading my Headscale to 0.26.1 and rebooting, trying wired connection instead of wireless, but it just will not connect with an Auth Key.

There are no clues in the Headscale logs.

I have an existing Tailnet of 10 devices using Headscale so the infrastructure is working fine.

I hope someone can help.

Expected Behavior

Start Tailscale app on tvOS and sign in by changing the Authorisation Server.

Steps To Reproduce

  • Apple TV
  • App Store > install Tailscale app
  • Start App
  • Choose Use an Auth Key
  • Generate an API key on Heafscale
  • Copy and paste it in the App box
  • Type the Headscale url in server box
  • Click Connect

Environment

- OS: tvOS 17.4.1
- Headscale version: 0.26.1
- Tailscale version: 1.84.1

Runtime environment

  • Headscale is behind a (reverse) proxy
    = Caddy
  • Headscale runs in a container

Debug information

No logs.
