I also have a similar situation where I have ebooks stored in one folder, and audiobooks stored in a different folder. Both of these folders' contents are shown in one library, but if I have the same book as an audiobook and as an ebook, they don't automatically get joined together. I end up with two books in the library, one of which has the audiobook, and one of which has the ebook.
It would be great to be able to multi-select them and merge them, then have audiobookshelf show them as one single book. Then when you open this book, you can either listen or read.
Agreed that this would only be needed for the admin, and not in the phone apps.

Adding to this. I have a few books that I split by disc, but would like them to appear as a single library entry within the application.
