Describe the issue

I was adding metadata for 'The House at the Edge of Magic' by Amy Sparkes, and the name of the first book is the same name as the series. When creating a metadata.abs file and downloading a cover to the folder, it was duplicating both files inside the actual book folder (Amy Sparkes\The House at the Edge of Magic Series\1 - The House at the Edge of Magic) and inside the series folder.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Add a series where a book name is the same as the series name
  2. Add the book to the series folder
  3. Try to 'match' the book, and it should download to both the book and series folder

Audiobookshelf version

2.0.23

How are you running audiobookshelf?

Docker

I just tried to reproduce this using the series you mentioned and this did not happen. There is nothing that downloads to the series folder so I'm not sure how that is possible. Can you try this again by following your reproduction steps?

The main thread for this issue will be #834 but this should be fixed in the next release
