Describe the feature/enhancement

This comes up in (at least) two places:

  1. on the home screen it'd be nice to have a row of books that aren't in a series, if you specifically want to resume or start a book that isn't in a series.

  2. And second, on the author page. Right now you can see which books are in a series, or your can see all books, but it'd be nice if there were a row of books that aren't in a series. Currently those books can only be found buried in the "all books" row.

Related to this would be the option to customize which rows show on the home screen since maybe not everyone wants this, but that's been requested separately.

Also helpful would be if the all books row on the author page would default to multiple rows, perhaps with an option to expand or collapse if it's more than say three rows or 25 books or something. But that's also a separate request I believe.

Can you expand on this? The homescreen currently shows both Continue Listening (in progress books, regardless of series-ness) and Continue Series (next up in series) as 2 distinct sections. Do you not see the option to resume individual books on your homescreen?

And second, on the author page. Right now you can see which books are in a series, or your can see all books, but it'd be nice if there were a row of books that aren't in a series. Currently those books can only be found buried in the "all books" row.
This one makes more sense to me

It's perhaps a poor strategy for persuasiveness, but my reasons are probably listed from least to most important, so the second section above would be the most helpful. But here's my reasoning for the first section.

Yes there is the resume listening row. But a) mine gets crowded. It'd be nice to see at a glance which one off books i could resume. And b) that resume listening row doesn't help with finding one that hasn't been started. If I add a bunch of books to my library, most in series but some not, I can see the recently added row of books with everything, and I can see the "recent series" row, but a row of recently added standalone books would also be nice.
