What happened?

Using the podcast search on the Add tab returns no results, even for general terms like "tech" or "music." The logs show this error:

audiobookshelf | [2026-04-16 16:17:14.399] ERROR: [iTunes] search request error Request failed with status code 404

On the audiobooks side, Google Books and Audible metadata searches work fine.

What did you expect to happen?

Search to be populated with results

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Go to the Add tab on a Podcasts library.
  2. Search for anything.
  3. No results.

2.33.1

How are you running audiobookshelf?

Docker

What OS is your Audiobookshelf server hosted from?

Linux

If the issue is being seen in the UI, what browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Could find/add podcasts again right now. Maybe it was an temporally API issue with iTunes/Apple server?!
