Type of Enhancement

Web Interface/Frontend

Describe the Feature/Enhancement

When using the web app or the mobile apps, it would be great to have options in the sleep timer to stop playback after a number of podcast episodes plays to the end.

Having this option would make it much quicker to set timers when podcasts often vary in length.

Why would this be helpful?

Because of the variable length of podcast episodes, it’s often difficult to predict how much time to enter in the timer to match up with the end of an episode when playing multiple episodes.

Having this feature would be beneficial so users don’t have to worry about the podcast length and they can just decide how many episodes to play before they are done listening. This also prevents instances where a 30 or 60 minute timer ends in the middle of a 20 or 40 minute story/conversation. The user resumes mid story or conversation and has to rewind a minute or two to remember what was happening.

Future Implementation (Screenshot)

The episode options can be integrated into the current layout. The addition of a minute and episode radial button at the bottom of the timer menu. Then either add ‘1, 2, 3 episode’ options to the existing list at the bottom, or replace all minute options with episode options when the ‘episode’ radial option is selected.
