What happened?

With Unraid I have a nvme for appdata where audiobookshelf with metadata is stored. media is stored on cache and hdd. Primarily, the cache is accessed first, hdd stays in standby most of the time.

But when audiobookshelf is opened and I guess the library overview is accessed the HDD spins up. It seams that it tries to read through the media folder.

What did you expect to happen?

I would expect that audiobookshelf only accesses the metadata from the appdata folder which is stored on the nvme and I would expect that it only spins up if media is accessed or the filesystem detects a change or a period check is running. (which was disabled)

During that time I did not press play or anything. There was one book which I could continue reading but it is not active.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Open audiobookshelf
  2. Open library

Audiobookshelf version

2.30

How are you running audiobookshelf?

Docker

What OS is your Audiobookshelf server hosted from?

Linux

If the issue is being seen in the UI, what browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Chrome

Logs
