What happened?

The author field is already filled:

Yet when matching, it does not show the current content of the "Author" field, instead it's displayed as if it was empty:

What did you expect to happen?

Matching shows "Currently: Whatever Author Is Currently Set"

Image

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Add a podcast
  2. Fill the "Author" field
  3. Match it with iTunes
  4. Look at the "Author" field match

Audiobookshelf version

v2.28.0

How are you running audiobookshelf?

Docker

What OS is your Audiobookshelf server hosted from?

Linux

If the issue is being seen in the UI, what browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Firefox

Logs

Additional Notes

  • It's not an issue specific to one podcast, it does the same for all those I tried.
  • It doesn't only happen when the current field and the one from iTunes are the same. It happens regardless of what is in the Author field (tested with setting the field to something different from the iTunes match).
  • There is no issue writing to the "Author" field (tested by inputing a wrong author and matching to see if it would be overwritten, and it is).
