Web Interface/Frontend

Describe the Feature/Enhancement

  • extensive and easy to reach keyboard shortcuts when reading and listening at the same time.
  • currently, it if you open an audiobook for playback, and then open its ebook counterpart, the ebook player takes control of shortcuts (e.g. Space, Left/Right arrow, Ctrl+Left/Right arrow etc.). this makes it hard to keep the reading/listening synchronized especially when you are taking notes/performing google search along the way.
  • ideally, we could have independent keyboard shortcuts for ebooks and audiobooks - maybe using the Alt key?

Why would this be helpful?

  • would allow a far greater experience with reading and listening. and also, make using abs for study/research use cases a bit more fluid.
  • manual syncing between the ebook and audiobook will be a lot easier, especially if you perform it a lot.

Future Implementation (Screenshot)

maybe some tooltip hints over controls to show which are shortcuts available. otherwise just putting them in the docs is good enough.
