Type of Enhancement

Rarer format support

Describe the Feature/Enhancement

Hey,
I don't think you support cb7 yet for the e-reader. Is this on the roadmap or is there no plan? Not a huge deal, I can recompress cbr just fine, and since there seems to be an ordering inconsistency (IE 005 (1).jpg comes before 001.jpg) I need to clean things up anyway. Just curious.

Why would this be helpful?

Support more types. Saves users tens of kb per file.

Future Implementation (Screenshot)

N/A

Audiobookshelf Server Version

v2.23.0

Current Implementation (Screenshot)

N/A

You're the first person to mention cb7, I didn't know that existed. Are you creating those yourself?

Indeed. I might have a problem with min maxing space.

I briefly looked it up just now, and the consensus on old forum posts and Reddit seems to be to just use CBZ because it is universal and you get better compression and performance by compressing the images themselves instead of compressing already compressed images.

Actually most of my comics and graphics are in cbr (when not in cb7.) Metadata was never a thing I cared about. Space. Space Spaaaace. Though I've been reconsidering after seeing how well ya'll write it into the m4a files.
