Like we have Audiobooks , and Ebooks, & Podcasts, why don't you enable Hi-Res Audio (Media Player) , so it becomes one stop shop :).

Why would this be helpful?

This is Gather different typ of audience to support this project.

Future Implementation (Screenshot)

Just when adding A Library (it can be a new type) hi-res Audio, and it can ready MP3 Tags, and and organize it bases on Albums , artists etc ..

Higher bitrate, Different Types of High-Res files (FLAC, etc.), and basically a web audio player, similar to Navidrom!

Flac is already a supported codec. Clients can direct play codec if it's supported, otherwise the server will transcode the file using ffmpeg.

I think @Hadoka suggest that ABS should be extended to provide a new kind of library: one that contains music.

Personally I think that is a bad idea. Navidrome and many other services already exist and do their thing well. ABS should focus on providing the best audiobook experience.

Yes, @thatguy7, I mean to have a new Kind of Library (not necessarily music). There are Meditation files and stuff like that. It will be Awesome to have a platform for all your Audio Experiences. :).

I understand your Point, but ABS also has podcasts, which are not necessarily related to Audiobooks. Anyway, it's just an Idea, and I think its execution is easy. I think it will appeal to many people.

I don't think its the same request, the other one is asking to disable / enable resume feature, while I'm asking for a new media library time, it will have to pull info for meta data differently from audio books etc.

With creating a new media type it would also have to pull in the meta data differently so it is essentially the same. It would be a music media type since I'm not sure high res audio would make sense as a media type.
