What happened?

In both mobile app and web app, the descriptions of books have visible html. See screenshots. I figure since this issue occurs on both clients, the data being stored in the DB is getting encoded.

What did you expect to happen?

Either:

  • Strip the HTML tags.
  • Respect the html format.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Have a library that uses audible as the metadata provider.
  2. Scan a book.

How are you running audiobookshelf?

Docker

What OS is your Audiobookshelf server hosted from?

Linux

If the issue is being seen in the UI, what browsers are you seeing the problem on?
