What happened?

I synced some podcasts to my mobile device from audiobookshelf and went for a walk. Since I used up my mobile data and wasn't within wifi range, I was offline. Audiobookshelf worked fine to start and stop the currently playing episode. However, when I wanted to choose a new episode the playback would not start. Presumably, the app was trying to reach some service to play locally synced content.

What did you expect to happen?

I expected to be able to see the thumbnails for the content I locally downloaded and I expected to be able to play the content when completely offline.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Put mobile device in offline / airplane mode
  2. Navigate to synced content
  3. Try playing synced content

Audiobookshelf version

v2.12.0

How are you running audiobookshelf?

Docker

What OS is your Audiobookshelf server hosted from?

Linux

If the issue is being seen in the UI, what browsers are you seeing the problem on?

None

Sorry, I realise this is actually a mobile app issue. Closing.
