Describe the feature/enhancement

Because many audiobooks now have extensive ads and irrelevant content in the opening and ending, it's time-consuming not being able to skip them. However, since the ads in the opening and ending differ for each book, I hope there could be an additional feature to customize skipping the opening for X seconds and skipping the ending for X seconds.
Many audiobook apps, such as Ximalaya, have this feature, and it's crucial. I hope the developers could consider implementing it. Thank you for your work!

How so? I don't see the feature added, nor do i see a pull request with it. Can you please link it?

In addition to the beginning and end, some audio books may also have introductions or advertisements inserted in the middle, and the duration of different audio books may not be the same. Therefore, I believe that skipping should be set separately for each audiobook and multiple time periods can be added.

If I only have the opportunity to suggest one enhancement feature, then this one is it.

It has not been implemented yet. There are many feature requests and limited dev time. If there is a specific feature you are wanting, code contributions are welcome.

I tried to modify the source code to add this skip start intro feature, but it only works when the app is kept in the foreground, if the app is in the background or Android lock screen it will lose the effect, please tall me what part of the code needs to be modified if we want to implement in Android? tks pls @nichwall
