[Bug]: Deleting podcast episode from home screen removes entire podcast #1353

Describe the issue

After listening to podcast episodes I want to delete the played files to save space. Without an auto-cleanup feature this must be done manually. Navigating to the podcast detail page and deleting the media file works as expected. This requires several clicks and is inconvenient if deleting multiple episodes.

Deleting episodes from the Home screen would be more convenient, however when deleting podcast episodes from home screen the entire podcast is removed and must be re-added.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Navigate to Home
  2. Select podcast episode to delete
  3. Click delete/trash icon in upper right
  4. Note entire podcast is removed, not just the selected episode

I'd like to second that: a clean-up feature that removes all completed episodes would be great.
I haven't yet found a way to view all episodes in a library, across all podcasts, to be able to filter the "Complete" files. I have to go through all the podcasts one by one, filter all finished listened files and then delete them manually.

Thanks for this great application and willingness to think about this feature.

Is it possible to add a setting that allows for the automatic deletion of podcast audio files that have been played or downloaded but not played for a long time, in order to save server storage space?

At least I haven’t found the option for automatic deletion in the server settings menu.

Delete Branch "%!s()"

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
