Android 14: Conflict with Google Assistant #736

Steps to reproduce

  1. Listen to podcast.
  2. Voice activate Google Assistant "Hey Google"
  3. Request info from Google Assistant "What's the weather today" or "Read my messages"

Expected behavior

  • Podcast play will pause, and Google Assistant will respond.

Actual behavior

  • Play continues. Google Assistant responds over podcast play.

Also interferes with other Google Assistant activity. For example, if I say Hey Google, read my messages, it says that it is "unable to do that yet". When I close the app, my messages read back by Google Assistant. Pausing play does not help. That app must be closed.

  • Android App 0.966-beta
