I often close running android apps and when I have a book playing that ends the playback immediately, requiring me to open the app again.

Describe the solution you'd like

The ideal solution would be to keep the app running in the background and allow normal controls in the android swipe down menu like when the app is running.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I try to keep the app open, but that doesn't always work out.
