I like to ensure that my downloaded book is up to date with the server because I listen both on the web and on the app. Would be convenient if pulling down in the main screen would perform the sync rather than having to navigate to the local media section.

I no longer can even sync with the server. That option has disappeared. It makes listening on multiple devices very frustrating as my local copy on my phone can't be synchronized with the server as far as I can tell. This feature has become even more important to me.

Are you on Android or iOS?
Syncing should happen automatically. On Android it was already added a playback history that shows all the syncing. This hasn't been done on iOS yet.

History showed a sync to the correct time but then a play to the wrong time. I have a screenshot to show, but uploading is failing atm...

I am still having trouble keeping my progress synced between the web player and my downloaded device. The playback history isn't always accurate, especially if I switch from one to another immediately. There is no way to force a sync to ensure that everything is updated. Any other suggestions or is this something worth adding?

1.) Listen or have listened last on android app with downloaded book.
2.) Switch to web player and listen for a while.
3.) Switch back to android app directly after listening on the web player.
After switching back to the android app, the book will resume from where it was last playing on the android app. History does not show the most recent activity from the web player.

I'm seeing similar not-always-syncing issues. Hard closing and reopening the app does seem to fix the problem most of the time, but I agree a pull-to-refresh would be nice. I made a few other suggestions on how to minimize missed syncs and sync conflicts in #1022 .

I am on android. I will check the history next time I switch from streaming to my local copy.

Can you give reproducible steps so I can replicate the sync bug?
