Currently the Android app is not able to cast m4b to audio only devices such as the Google nest mini. The app is also not able to cast local files..

Smart audiobook player app for Android is able to do both of these things so it is most definitely possible, would be great to see that functionality here.

We have this issue at home. It is however possible to cast to a Chrome cast but not to Google home or Google home minis. I have tried with .m4b, .m4a and .mp3 format and all fail in the same way. Namely that the Google home does a connect sound but when trying to press the play the button it is grayed out with a waiting animation in it.
I have tried it using Android version 13 on a Pixel 7 Pro device. Version 0.9.63-beta of the app.
