What was the Problem?

While streaming an audiobook (without having first downloaded to cellphone), media controls do not appear in the android interface. No pause, no indication anything is playing in the first place

Steps to Reproduce the Issue

Open library
Select book for playback
Minimize app or lock screen - no indication media is playing outside of physically playing from speakers and in-app

What was Expected?

Media playback controls should appear regardless of whether media is stored locally or being streamed. Interestingly, if you launch the web-app version, the streaming media controls do work as expected. It's only when the media is streamed through the app this doesn't work.

Issue does not repro on emulator. Or after installing the debug version of the app on my phone, there either. Or on the main app after installing the debug app.

Might be a first time setup thing that goes away after you reboot the phone?

Hm maybe a one-off issue with the device media player not notifying the app that playback started. No one has reported this before so if you can't reproduce it then I think you should close this issue for now
