I listen to an audiobook on my way to work for about 30 minutes(through android auto) after which I close the app. I've noticed my phone has been draining extraordinarily fast lately and upon investigating I discovered that this app is responsible for 40% of my phone's battery drain while inactive. I have background usage allowed(optimized). When I restrict the background usage the app stops the battery drain. however, whenever the screen turns off the player stops working, as expected.
Steps to Reproduce the Issue
Open app
Play media
Close app
Monitor background usage
What was Expected?
The app to use a minimal amount battery while not actively in use.
Phone Model
Google Pixel 8 Pro
Phone OS
Android 16
Audiobookshelf App Version
Android App - 0.10.0
Installation Source
Google Play Store
Additional Notes
All the app logs are info level only and don't provide much detail about the battery drain while the app is closed.
