This does indeed still happen. Note that I switched to a different audiobook player called smartaudiobookplayer and then pressed play there so it might be that it starts bc it's been a short time since I paused it? Or bc I didn't pause it but actually paused it through playing something else or other media.
I tested waiting 2 min for if it were timer based and then shut itself or app went to sleep or unloaded or smtng. Didn't work.
Note that I also have the sleep timer always on (this sadly isn't an option u have to do a almost complete timer that has it on from 2959 to 0000.) so now the app is just unusable if I want to sleep with the audiobook which is half my listening.
...
The other half is reading and then getting fucked in the ass by the sleep timer and walking and realising that the sync doesn't work properly when switching from Web to app and then back. And then walking again with the app since it's now 2 different play sessions. Then getting fucked by the fact there's no history on PC as the app now syncs since I only walked to the kitchen and took a short break. Well there is history on PC but only in logs and only sometimes when it hasn't scrolled past.

Honestly after these 2 fixes and that option u should release. Also check on smartaudiobookplayer thingy because that app is top tier. Also really useful decode thing with System and App 1 and 2 for troubleshooting. E.g I need app 1 or 2 for wavelet to reduce harsh noises and EQ and stuff. Too bad that puts it off the Huaweis audio control panel so now its one click spotify season instead 😂
