Describe the Feature/Enhancement

Sometimes i use the 10s forward / rewind buttons very fast but this does not work very well, it takes some time to forward/rewind.

Why would this be helpful?

Better UX for forward and rewind

Future Implementation (Screenshot)

Allow the user to hit the button multiple times in a short timeframe and apply only if the button is not hit anymore.

Audiobookshelf App Version

Android App - 0.9.77

Current Implementation (Screenshot)

Just tested this on the android app and I can tap the skip forward/backward buttons as fast as I can move my finger and it works perfect. Maybe you are listening to transcoded audiobooks?
I doubt there is anything we can do about this since we rely on the built-in audio player but maybe you can improve your media files.

Ok i have tried it with 5 different audiobooks and it works only for one.
Do you know a definitive way to check for transcoding?

When you open the audio player it will say "Trancoding" at the top or "direct" if it is direct streaming
