I feel like persisting filters on the session or cookies can lead to bad UX, e.g. you forgetting you filtered something one week ago and didn't reset the filters and now your Monthly view is missing transactions.

A good alternative would be to preserve the filters between month changes, as long as you're flipping months on the same page the filters stay active, but once you leave the page they're reset, what do you think?
