The Macbook Pro 2015 is not on the compatible devices list, yet I successfully installed it on my device. Will that mean that it may harm my device when using it (AIDente)

I recently noticed the ones listed on the site are all USB C devices which mine is not, and apple by default offers battery
management services/features for them, whereas, the MBP 2015 does not have those features.

Could someone clarify?

Thank you.

Hi @aschwinsiva,

If you take a look in our readme, you can see that the Macbook Pro 2015 is actually supported by AlDente Free but only the Charge Limiter feature works through Intel Mode. Therefore, Discharge doesn't work on your device and all other features of AlDente Pro don’t work as well. However, if you only want to use the Charge Limiter, it works perfectly fine.
You can read more about the Intel Mode here: https://apphousekitchen.com/feature-explanation-intel-mode/

Cheers,
Matthias
