I'm using a 2013 rMBP 15 dGPU (11,3), and since only Intel mode is supported, I set the battery maximum at 80%. I leave this laptop docked to a monitor 90% of the time, so when waking up from sleep there is a 1-3 second delay before the "Enter Password" text appears in the password box on the Lock Screen. I've removed AlDente and normal behavior resumes. I'm running the latest Big Sur.

I can confirm. I have early 2015 mbp that started showing very similar symptoms, login screen but unable to enter password for a while. Unfortunately i coudn't narrow it down to aldente and i ended up with a clean reinstall of OS and then aldente. The problem didn't return. It was an easy choice for me since the laptop is realtively empty and unused. It had Big Sur on it and i reinstalled the same OS and the same version back.

Hi @Converseallstar95,

I am not sure if AlDente is the cause for this behavior but you can try to set a charging limit and close AlDente afterward. Because of the Intel Mode, AlDente does not have to run for the charge limit to work.

Cheers,
Matthias

Hi @MatthiasKerbl , thanks for the reply, but I do believe it is caused by AlDente, because as you said, when I leave the charge set at 80%, then quit the app, the login screen is normal. When I open the app, there is a slight lag again without fail. It could be an incompatibility with another app I have, but I'm not sure what would cause Lock Screen issues.
